Hotel Ceilidh-Donia: “Nice family run hotel in the outskirts of Edinburgh”

Very good service and very friendly and welcoming staff. Breakfast was fine, but I missed fresh fruit salad as an option. Max is a great barman who has a friendly word of wisdom for everyone. Room was clean and comfy, but our room being situated near the entrance of the hotel, we had some noice from the other guests coming and going. All in all we had a lovely stay here.

When going to the city center you need to take the bus, but that isn’t a problem, there are more than enough busses, we never had to wait for longer than ten minutes.

Rhu Mhor: “A special place to stay”

The rooms in Rhu Mhor are slightly dated (although the bathroom was new), but this suited the place very well. Rhu Mhor is a beautiful old house situated in a breathtakingly beautiful garden. Ian and his mother are very courteous hosts. Breakfast was delicious and at 11 pm we got served tea in the lounge (the only place with wifi). The lounge is a special room full of dolls and antique. Ian is a real scotsman proud to wear his kilt every day.

Fort William in itself isn’t that great, but we were only passing through, so we didn’t mind.

Only remark: the hallway near our room smelled of second hand tobacco smoke.

Beinn Bhracaigh: “Excellent breakfast!”

Nice and clean room with ensuite. The host was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent. I had porridge with whisky and honey and eggs with salmon. More than enough to keep me going through most of the day. The breakfast room had a lovely view and we loved the concept of a ‘honesty bar’. Pitlochry is a cute little town well worth the visit and when you decide to go there, stay in Beinn Bhracaigh, you won’t regret is.

Nevis Range Mountain Experience: “What a view”

You’ve got two viewpoints on Nevis Range Mountain Experience with breathtakingly beautiful views. The walks to the viewpoints are easy and the ride in the gondola up the mountain is very nice.
