Exploring the world one bite at a time

Paviljoen Meerzicht: “Heerlijke vis”

Had a lovely dinner at Paviljoen Meerzicht. The restaurant has a spectacular view on the Grevelingenmeer. When weather permits you can enjoy eating or drinking outside on the beautiful terrace.

Staff is friendly, but could be trained better. For instance they forgot to bring an extra menu and I had to pour my own prosecco from the bottle.

Prices are very reasonable: the catch of the day (which was salmon) costs 15 euro. My sea bass was about 20 euro. The fish was really fresh and perfectly cooked. I would have loved some more vegetables on my plate though.

We couldn’t resist ordering dessert. I really loved the absolutely fabulous apfelstrüdel! Not a Dutch specialty, but great nonetheless! We had a very lovely evening at Paviljoen Meerzicht and would definitely visit again.

Knees To Chin: “Lovely spring rolls”

Greet place if you enjoy spring rolls (rice paper rolls with different fillings). The concept is fusion: of course spring rolls are Asian, but Knees to chin gives some of them a local touch. You order at the counter and the staff brings your order to your table. I tried the Peking duck and the smoked salmon, which were both freshly prepared and really excellent. The prices are very reasonable, so you can also eat one of them when you’re craving a healthy snack.

The interior is simple, but cosy. Loved the big chalkboard!

I’m a fan of the Knees to Chin concept!
