If you like nature, this is the place for you. Location is key and Lac Le Jeune is situated right at the lakeshore of the gorgeous Lac Le Jeune. Lots of birds, squirrels and chipmunks to enjoy. The owners of the hotel have put bird feeders everywhere, so you can enjoy those lovely creatures from upclose.

The rooms are spacious and a bit old fashioned. Beds were good and the bathroom was clean. The rooms don’t have airconditioning, only a ceiling fan. It wasn’t very warm during our stay, so we didn’t mind. It is a pity though that there is no refrigerator in the room. The hotel is far away from everything, would be nice to have a place to keep your drinks cool. There is no elevator, so you’ll have to carry your luggage up on the stairs.

We stayed in the hotel for three nights and on arrival promptly got offered an upgrade for our second and third night. We got changed to a room with a better view for the same price. Very thoughtful!

Staff is super friendly and will give you lots of tips where you can find wild life. We really loved our little canoo trip on the lake. I was very happy to be able to capture the beautiful loon on camera.

Breakfast and dinner are both outstanding. Very, very good. Options for dinner are limited, but very tasty. The breakfast buffet was lovely, with lots of different options to choose from. Really enjoyed all the fresh fruit. Tip: do try their blueberry pie. This was honestly the best I’ve had in my whole life.
