I had heard so many great things about this restaurant, that my expectations were probably too high. Granted the food is ok, but really not exceptional. The dishes are very classic and presented without much imagination. Service is decent, but some small details are overlooked (for example, the cutlery wasn’t taken away after the first course).

I was a bit disappointed that they added a sugar cube to my champagne cocktail with brandy, but I guess that’s their interpretation of the recipe. The rusty nail my boyfriend ordered was really nice though. The wine was also nice.

During dinner a live band played some classics and some couples danced on the dance floor. All the tables are arranged around the dance floor. The music was a little bit ‘golden oldies’ for me and sometimes just a touch too loud. The atmosphere as a whole felt dated to me.

All in all we had a nice evening, although we felt the price was too high for the food served.
